Midtown only lets you order 25 copies of the same comic. Do you order directly through Previews? I have never done it before.

No. You can try multiple orders or ordering from different vendors. But, be careful to not go too deep down one path (title). There are opportunities and there are pitfalls. I would not do more than you feel comfortable ordering. For me, I order what I like. If I like it, I might get some more. If not, I don't and usually sell what I have (there's a fan out there for every title - maybe hm ).

Example: I sold all my Peter Panzerfaust last Christmas sale (didn't have much, but still). I sold almost all my Manhattan Projects.

Thanks for helping me all day today. I was just asking to know. Midtown already closed the Previews orders for East of West last week and I ordered 1 copy because of Hickman (I follow Manhattan Projects).

I love MP projects too. It's still on my pull list, but I sold my run (Christmas Presents) and plan to just buy the trade at some point (I did keep 2 #1 first prints).

Behind in my reading:

Finishing Y The Last Man Series (book 3 of 5)

Working on Sandman (book 2 of 10)

Up-to-date with my regular pulls: Saga, TWD, Revival, Bedlam, NMW, + 7 more

Y The Last Man was my first series. I borrowed them from a friend, but had to buy 3 issues he lost.

I was going to sell Manhattan Projects once the run was around $250.

ordering 25 from midtown just means you'll have 25 to send back when they show up dented.

I have received boxes like that from them too, the worst is when I only order a few

And they come in an envelope wrapped in a brown paper bag

i like it when they send it in that flat mailer, i've never had a problem with damage...every time i have problems is when i order quantity and they send it in one of those fragile boxes.

When your box is hit hard enough to tear the corner of the comic bag through bubble wrap...then there's a problem somewhere. And this was USPS.

midtown isn't sold out of #1...they just stopped the advance sales on them. They do this all the time with advance sales. They will be back in stock when it gets closer to release date (about 1 week before).

How can it be sold out when the FOC is 3/4? I don't place my orders through distributors until the FOC (final order cutoff date). Midtown must have decided to double what has been ordered and sell into the frenzy. Other than that this book can still be ordered for another month.

I'm getting 1 copy to read. If I like it I'll buy 2 more copies. If I really love it I'll do what I did with saga and revival and get 5-8 copies. I don't go big just get some to sell off later to buy other stuff I enjoy. And I'm happy with that.

why ? because this isn't a limited product that you need to get order in before it sells out. No need to place an order that you have to pay for until the last day possible. The FOC is established so the books can than be printed to order.
