I think it is supposed to be the remains of a Celestial.

Yes, it is the Celestial head known as Knowhere.

What spoiler?

Peace,

NOVA in GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY?

Apparently the after credits scene in this summer's Guardians of the Galaxy will feature the human rocket, Nova. And as far as Dave Gonzalez can find out (he was unable to confirm), the character will be played by Firefly's Nathan Fillion! Which rendition of the character we will see was not specified, but going by his likeness to the comic book counterpart, it would be safe to make the assumption that Fillion will be playing Richard Rider.

Gunn definitely has some trick up his sleeve. To say at first Fillion is not in the movie and then admitting he is - but brief - there appears to be a big surprise coming.

And yes. Nathan Fillion would have made a great Hal Jordan!

Looks like we know Fillon's role in the film now:

Makes sense with Gunn's comments

James Gunn and Nathan Fillion are buds IRL, so this is kinda fun he stuck him in there as Cosmo.
