Do you really believe this?

"my 5.0 will be superior to the avg 5.0

Wow

I should clarify I mean superior eye appeal (thumbs u

do you not believe a 5.0 with ow/w pages and no marvel chipping is superior to the "avg" 5.0 that might have lessor pages and marvel chipping?

it was a statement that I try to buy books with superior eye appeal vs the "average"...

A good answer, however my reply would be show me a better one.

there very likely are nicer looking copies...but, when compared to the average graded copies, I do try my darndest to buy ones that I find more visually appealing within the same grade...

just wanted to clarify that I was in no way implying my books are better because of "me", just that I try to buy better looking books.... that said, if I have an "average" looking copy (like that af15 4.0, I believe, I will try to price in the median middle price range, versus on the upper end)

I am with ya Gator. All 5.0s are not created equal. BTW, your books have great eye appeal.

Bob I think what Rick is saying is that he buys books with above average eye appeal. (shrug) Non believer. :baiting::grin:
correct...I didn't mean to imply that my books are in some way superior to other folks books just because "me/myself/I" own them....just that I try to only buy books that have a better (superior) eye appeal (thumbs u

Absolutely true... when I was getting back into comics you sold me at the Filter/New Force table this copy of an AF15 in a 3.5 here at NYCC 2010.

You had said that I would not find another copy in this grade that presents as nicely. It has been three years and I even picked up a 6.0 last summer. I still have not sold the 3.5 because you were right. I have not seen a better presenting copy and do not think I ever will. It is a book that is worth hanging on to. It is another reason I always pay close attention to your FS threads.

I want to add that the 8.5 Avengers #1 is absolutely gorgeous. I looked at it in hand last month at Heroes. And I think the price was quite a bit more then also. I did not pick up the 9.4 #4, but it looked awesome on the wall.

GLWTS, Rick!

Wow

This statement is easy to prove or disprove, all the books have detailed scans. Based on those scans, I would say this statement is confirmed, these books all look better than average for their grade. (thumbs u

Very nice, holds up under magnification, and the back cover really isn't that bad.

I am waiting to see the ASM's that come out the gate... I think I want to upgrade something.

Me too. I'm not in the market for a #1, but I'd like to see some other Ditko Spidey's.
