can it still be a shrunken head if it's bigger than a normal head?

Depends on how big it was when it started.

Schnizzle - those are some killer comics! Where did you find such high grade stuff??? Outstanding.

I think the question was directed at me and, if so, it was due to the assistance of many dealers and friends over a number of years.

Indeed it was... those are some crazy books! I'm glad EC aren't the only things to have survived in such high grade. I hope I can track some down one day.

One of my favorite PCH covers. What more could one ask for - a post-apocalyptic scene with a mushroom cloud in the distance and a floating shrunken head. Very atmospheric.

First time I've seen a high grade copy of that book, too....

Nothing says Atomic Age horror more than a shrunken head, a pretty girl and nuclear explosion. :cloud9:

Goldfarb usually drew compelling covers, though I'm not certain he received the best inking from Baer.

Although I prefer the surreal cover for #10, the colors on this ultra-visceral cover really pop.

Doesn't hurt that it's yet another HG example of a scarce in any grade PCH book.

I purchased this one on ebay but when it arrived that right hand corner was missing.

I don't think it broke off but the dealer may have sliced it off while packing in mylar.

I still like the cover but feel I should be compensated. Now that is the start of a horror story.

Glad you like it Billy. I owned it before Bruce. Very high gloss and a tight looking mid-grade copy. I sold it when I found another raw high grade which ended up grading an 8.5 :)

Two pre-code horror pick-ups this weekend.

First, Hand of Fate # 18, a Senate Investigation board comic, not seen one on eBay in a couple of years. Happy to get the low grade copy. Great Spider-Woman inside.

The coverless ... well, some of you will appreciate what it is -
