I was fortunate to snag a buy-it-now of the SDCC Manifest Destiny B&W for about 80 bucks. At the time I was kind of worried I might have overpaid, but today I see one listed for $250.

 

Wish I could get a reasonable price on the walking dead sketch to go with it, but doubt that is going to happen.

Anyone still watching the pricing? Seems things have turned around pretty decently and have continued to rise back up.

I did a big deal with somebody at the con and gave an incredible price on some Ottley #1s but they were buying a quite a bit so I didn't mind.

The downturns seem to happen the month the TPBs come out and there is no new material. The rebounds seem to happen when the 2nd issue after the trade hits.

Ya that's the best cover of the series so far. IMHO. I dig native american anything though so i'm biased. Roberts is killing it for sure.

I think it's safe to say Matthew Roberts is knocking it out of the park every issue.

Ottley does still have his cover Original Art to issue #1, but hasn't decided to sell it yet.

to me, what makes Matthew's work so good are the details. The details in #2 cover and the simplicity of it make it a great cover. It was my favorite cover until I saw #12. The details in #12 is what seals the deal for me as well. All the subtle little paint markings and the feathers and the facial expressions capture everything about the natives. It's just awesome. He can do no wrong so far. Actually, there isn't a cover of his that I don't like.
