This is a continuation of the earlier topic. Thanks again to everyone for thoughts and advice, including that I should get a scanner. Let me know what you think.

Scans are pretty good. Place some colored card behind it to bring the edges out. is that crease along the spine a hard crease?

 

A very nice book. I am thinking 6.5.

I've seen worse 7.0's. A cautious 6.5 for me though too. But if graded I think 7 wouldn't be out of the question. Nicely done!

6.5 IMHO! There is a faint crease running down the spine on the front cover otherwise this book would grade higher IMHO!

Would it help at all to have it dry cleaned, or does the spine crease pretty much limit it to 6.5-7?

There is no dirt to be dry cleaned off. The reading crease which breaks colour is my reason for giving that grade.

wonderful looking book. Really presents well, nice and flat and square cut. Agree with the majority, slightly better than a fn so 6.5

Yeah, a very nice 7.0.

All the front cover creasing near the spine makes me think 6.0. But the back cover is very nice and more like a 7.5. Not sure if that could bump it to an overall 6.5.

I'm all over that at 7.0. Very clean so a dry clean won't do much (and may rub off some ink if you're not really careful).
