This was one of several books from a house ad that Michelle was avidly seeking at one point. She had a hard time finding this one, along with the FLASH comic from the same month.

Yeah, it was in one of her columns. I'm pretty sure it was an issue in the forties, I'll post the exact number tomorrow.

I remember reading that article.....I think there were six books, including a Flash that she saw in the ad, and that she then spent decades tracking down. Great article. If you can't find the issue, I'll go hunt it down.

Anyone else find it ironic that the dealer who helped Michelle end her quest was Dave Alexander?

got FF#2 2.0 10 bucks, DD #131 9.4ish raw 15 bucks, DD #181 9.0 roughly 18, nick fury #15 12 bucks, DD #158 cgc 7.5 for 25 or 30 not sure which, all at local con, need to start an ad in local paper "buying any complete silver age book with cream pages or better for a dollar"

That was the first SA book I ever owned. I think I bought it when I was 10.

I think I got a heck of a deal considering that the book has white pages, super corners and bascially the third of the cost of a 9.4. To be honest I was surpised that it was still available. I may resub this book once I get a chance to check the notes out and look at it more carefully.
