Gotham Season 2: David Mazouz Says Bruce Wayne "Is Going To Be Batman"

How exactly will we see this transformation?

It’s going to be through multiple things. Bruce Wayne has multiple personas. He has Batman persona, but he also his public playboy persona to fool everyone. And moving into season two, we’ll see more of that second persona from Bruce. Another way, on the villains side, we’re going to see the villains shift from mobsters to super villains. The villains that we know in Batman are going to be the ones who take over Gotham. Penguin is at the threshold right now, but he’s going to meet people who are ten times worse. And because the threat of villains is going to be so immense, the heroes will really have to team up. So you’ll see Bruce and Gordon team up a lot more. And because of that, Bruce will get out a lot more. Gordon is really going to start that mentorship we talked about. They’re really going to start to become closer, and because of that Bruce will find himself more involved with the crime world.

Sound editing is real good. I actually noticed it, which isn't common for me.

What is this?

- Outstanding Special Visual Effects in a Supporting Role

What is this?

- Outstanding Special Visual Effects in a Supporting Role

lol

I had the same question.

Turns out in 2012, the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences split Visual Effects into two categories:

- Emmy Award for Outstanding Special Visual Effects: Category specific to the traditional 'in your face' kind of effects. This is the category where shows featuring space ships, superhero powers, CG creatures, giant robots, large scale military battles, and similar effects compete. These are the effects that are designed to catch your attention.

- Emmy Award for Outstanding Special Visual Effects in a Supporting Role: These are the effects that are designed to be invisible. Typically, they involve set extensions for period environments. In this category, the artists pride themselves on their work NOT being noticed by the audience.

I never realized they made this distinction.

THE SHIELD's Michael Chiklis Lands Key Series Regular Role In Season Two Of GOTHAM

TV Line reveals that Michael Chiklis is coming to season two of Gotham in the series regular role of Captain Nathaniel Barnes. However, don't expect to see the actor rehash his beloved character from The Shield because it sounds like he will be a major ally to Detective Jim Gordon...at least at first! According to the official description, Barnes "lands on the GCPD like a tornado, ripping out the dead wood of Gotham’s police force. He is a law and order zealot; unafraid of making enemies – on either side of the law. For Gordon, Barnes is a hero and a mentor, someone with whom he can share the burden of heroism. Captain Barnes proves himself to be a strong ally to Gordon… but one day he will make an equally powerful enemy."

Showrunner Says GOTHAM Season 2 Will "Get It Right" - New Details On 'Mr. Freeze' & Other Characters

In a recent interview with Digital Spy, Heller stated that his mission statement for the show's second season is a mere three words: "Get it Right." Heller elaborates: "A first season - as good as it may be - is always your first run around the track. Second season; you know what you're good at, you know what not to do again, the actors are bang on it. If the first season was laying the table, now we get to eat a big fat dinner!"

Digital Spy also spoke with executive producer John Stephens, who added that Season 2 will be "fully serialised" as "one story we're telling over 22 episodes."

"The number one thing we learnt was not to tell standalone stories anymore - to serialise the stories as much as possible," Stephens said. "Also, to tell more character-driven stories - and to humanise the villains as much as possible. Whatever villain comes in, let's make them a human being first."
