Man too bad about the Marvel chipping,because that spine is sick!

9.0 this book is notorious for chipping.

 

I am with Oakman29 here. Absent the right edge problems, the book is probably a 9.4. This one is tough to grade. 8.0-8.5? I haven't seen many examples with this level of chipping getting higher than a 7.5....but you seldom see a book this nice otherwise. Tough call.

I just don't know but I would not go above 8.0.

That greatly detracts from the appearance.

Can you call it Marvel Chipping when the chipping hasn't really started yet? I mean a chip is when something has been removed. There doesn't appear to be any areas of the edge of this book removed.

 

I'll go out on a limb and say 9.2! Use my Avengers get out of jail free card. (anyone who participated in the March Madness contest should know what I'm referencing)

 

That's a really nice looking book!
