EBAY: BLOCKED USER LIST

eBay removed the feedback you left? Did they give you a reason?

seller isoldgrit sent and empty box to me, too. been dealing with this guy's empty promises for 7 weeks and wondering how such a negligent seller could have good feedback.

to hear that ebay deleted your feedback is very discouraging. if you have any advice, please share.

They said it violated their feedback policy.

He claimed he shipped my book to somebody in California and trying to get it back. PayPal gave him 2 weeks to response to the dispute but he failed to respond so he tried to appeal and PayPal denied it.

You're better off filing a dispute.

Update:

I left negative feedback, it was removed in minutes. I called eBay to ask what my violation was --

eBay: We're sorry, there was no violation, the feedback was mistakenly removed. The representative who made the mistake will receive additional training.

me: can the feedback be re-posted? or can i post another?

eBay: No, and no, sorry. But we'll make a report of this.

me: What was the reason recorded for pulling the feedback?

eBay: The seller isoldgrit requested feedback removal on the basis that a full refund was issued.

me: He shipped an empty box, and to an address different than mine. I'd like to be notified with the findings of your investigation, is that possible?

eBay: No, sorry, but we'll investigate and take proper action.

--

I'm not sure if that even has any real meaning. But PhoKing, I would advise at least calling eBay to request an investigation. sellers like isoldgrit are such a poison to the safe marketplace environment created by the honest sellers out there.

Just makes you want to drive down to the ebay call center, and start punching people in the face

So I had the same return. My book is the first pic. The second book is the book he sent me back.

Damn.

It's really no different than a brick-and-mortar having to deal with shoplifters.

Just gotta try to absorb the cost and pass it on to the rest of the customers without driving them away.

Fracking thieves!

Wait I just had a look at both books and its not even close to being the same! Can you not show this to eBay and have them help you out?

So I refunded the buyer I had no choice in the matter. I either accept returns or I don't its the cost of doing business.

In all fairness had this guy just come out at the beginning and told me the book was damaged I might have believed this even though the way I pack it seems really hard to imagine this damage. It should have been more in the corners from drops and such.

I cant stress enough for you to ban this buyer. The messages I have been getting from him are long drawn out paragraphs that just ramble on about how its all my fault. He told me first his thought he was buying a 1st print from 1999 even though my listing clearly says its not. Then after I refused to let him reship it to me at my cost I told him to file with ebay. Why? so I could have a record of all this.

About the 3rd email is when the book now has terrible damage and wasn't graded correctly. I just kept telling this guy it wasn't my fault and he needs to file with ebay which he finally did. I refunded him and I am still getting emails from him. This guy has a lot of problems I am gathering or different personalities I am unsure which. Save yourself the headache. I don't think in 15 years of selling/buying I have seen such a problem.

Talked to another eBay seller who he asked to cancel a transaction on and fortunately did before any problems could occur. Small world when you talk to a few people and they have all had issues.

Sorry for the loss and thanks sharing the experience. He does seem like a serious problem as an ebay buyer. What more does the guy want especially after you refunded him. Your unborn child?

I have 2 names for your list.

Earlier today I warned a bidder on eBay that I would block him from bidding if he continued to waste my time with insultingly low ball offers and lame commentary. He dared me to do so and I did.

That bidder is sevenplenty

Normally I wouldn't bring this up but less than 30 minutes later a 0 ( zero ) feedback bidder was suddenly the high bidder on several of my auctions. I don't think it takes a great leap in logic to guess that these two bidders were the same person, so I had those bids cancelled and blocked the second bidder as well.

That bidder is duang0

Better safe than sorry 2c

This thread has become nothing but a bunch of people whining about the most simplest things.... day after day, i get email updates of whiners complaining about the most petty mishaps happening when dealing with buyers on ebay.....

someone lowballed you, someone sent a message without saying Hi, someone complained about your shipping, prices etc... It happens people, it's called Business, you just can't please everyone. it's just not possible. as far as it goes with people complaining about even Ebay and their reps siding with buyers an no longer helping the sellers. It is what it is. they can do as they please.

I have a solution though..... STOP SELLING ON EBAY.

Besides the pointless blacklist of people, that really has no relevance any longer, because people don't even remember why someone is listed on there. What happen to this thread being solely about a list of people whom tried to scam or rip off members on here????

This has become a let's just put someone's name on here because we don't like them or whatever the case may be.

Before someone tries to be cute and asks what's my ebay handle, it's already on the now defunct black list..... do any of you realize even if you do put someone's ebay handle on here, someone could easily make another account within 5 mins ??? you all are aware of that right ???

You're using the list incorrectly.

You're supposed to block or refuse to buy from anyone complaining in this thread.

It's quite handy.

to me-- this is not about whining at all. It is about sharing experiences on eBay and up to the reader to decide if that warrants blocking or at least being wary of the specific buyer (or sometimes seller). If you take the list and just block anyone on it without doing any legwork, you will get out of it exactly what you put in it.

If this upsets you, you should probably not be reading this thread. If it bothers you because someone named your account as one to steer clear of-- state your case and let the people decide if it was a valid issue.

Personally-- I didn't have any issue with the low ball offer that Donmeca2020 made on the item that upset the seller enough to block them and give their reasons. It didn't violate any rules other than the sellers perceived slight.

But to be fair-- I had already blocked Donmeca2020 because I am not a fan of how he acts on the forum itself. He seems to believe that he can act like a jerk all the time and it not having any consequences. Then he trolls this thread for the rest of our lives further proving he is very much block worthy. Some people simply cannot understand how to act around others. When many people are telling you that you are acting inappropriately, the answer isn't to amp up the behavior under the guise of being defiant.

anyway-- for those of us who sell on eBay-- this thread is both interesting and informative.

To be honest, I don't pay enough attention to this thread to know who Donmeca2020 is. I thought he was just a typical n00b trying to make a name for himself by acting like a jerk...I had no idea he had a history. Makes sense though, thank you for the information.

I'd also like to say that lowball offers don't bother me, sometimes I find them amusing. What I find annoying are the lowball offers coupled with the lame explanations for why I should sell them my book for more than 50% off current market value.

I give 40% offers on eBay all the time. Sellers can no accept and sellers can counter. But with the responses, it's not needed for both parties so keep it professional and not bring your mama's into it or sista's, ya dig?
