Some tape was listed I wanted to see that for myself. Nuff said on that subject. Edited January 2, 2023 by Hap Hazard BitterOldMan, C. originalisbest
It's an unusual book in that I imagine it's a keeper for the forseeable future, so doesn't hurt to unslab it if it'll help you enjoy it more. Keep the label anyway and if it ever needs to be sold again, likely the label with it is more than enough, or it can always be slabbed at that time. :-) grendelbo, Point Five and Raze

A book like that is absolutely where it's worth getting slabbed to facilitate the sale but once it's changed hands crack that sucker out! Seeing it set free makes me happy, thank you for that. Popular Post Robot Man
EC Annual collectors unite! Fun story about mine. In 1969, I met an older guy at the Rose Bowl flea market that said he had old comics for sale including all the ECs. So I met him at his garage. Upon entering the garage, I could see it was literally packed with magazines, pulps and comics as well as other ephemera. I asked about ECs. He directed me over to a table piled with them. He said it was a complete run. I started to pull out issues I wanted and he stopped me. They were only for sale in complete runs. Well of course I couldn’t afford them. So I asked if he would sell the run of annuals. I had only been able to scrape up $100. (Hey a LOT of money for a kid at the time). He wanted more but saw how much I wanted them so he sold them to me. All at once except TOT #1 which wasn’t there. He even threw in the whole run of Piracy! I didn’t really look at anything else since I was out of money. But I did see a nice copy of the original Submariner #1 that he wanted $40. for. I asked him if I could come back for more once I saved up some more money and he said sure. So a few months later I went back with a few hundred bucks I had hussled up. No one answered the door so I went back to the garage which was locked up. I looked in the side window and it was empty! The guy and the massive garage load of paper were gone. Never saw him again or found out what happened. I still wonder what was in there… So this is my annual story. I finally got TOT #1 in the early days of ebay. Bought it from Gary Colombato in one of his first auctions. conan09279, jimjum12, Raze and 13 others
Popular Post KirbyJack
I used to have a TOT annual 3, but it was given away in one of the Board Secret Santa exchanges. A previous owner had taken a pair of pinking shears to the cover! Other than that, I just have the Two-Fisted Tales annuals.
