Last year, I was in an aisle that was away from the comic dealers, and I only had a small 8' booth. I put in a request to have a double-booth and be moved to the comic area. They looked after me with both requests and it really paid off.

 

I had a ton of exposure, loads of happy customers, wheeling and dealing on all books, including keys and some of the hottest books. I always negotiated down, not up, and made a record number of transactions. I met about 20+ customers from Toronto that were more than willing to make the trek down to London to visit me. Most are interested in buying, as they said there really wasn't much in Toronto. A couple of customers mentioned that they'll be bringing some books down for sale.

Really looking forward to next year's Fan Expo. But first, the Forest City Comicon in London on October 19th, then the Toronto Comicon in March 2015, then Calgary Comic Expo in April 2015.

PS how was their booth?All moderns or did Norm spruce it up?

 

It was the name set up you'd expect from Norm.

 

Him and his partner (and his partners son) are really cool people, always fun to have a booth next to. - except when they thought I worked for Fan Expo during setup - which in retrospective was also fun.

Norm and Jason are great...I hope they set up at the small show this month.

Went on Thursday with my Son and had a great time. Picked Up Y: The Last Man #1 Raw & Invincible #1 Raw and sent them to CGC with a handful of other books via Kevin of The Comic Lounge.
