Deadpool test footage

Man, the HD video really makes it all that much better... I wonder if the footage being officially release means anything

That's what I am wondering. Is someone feeling out the market response to this based on all the comic book excitement at the theaters?

I'm still not a Ryan Reynolds fan. But with this character, it seems to fit him. But they would be better off mixing him in with the X-Force movie cast so you only get short doses spread out across two hours. Otherwise, the humor could get old.

Wolverine hasn't always been portrayed as indestructible. That happened more in the past 15 to 20 years. He was more durable than the other X-Men especially when it came to falls but still often had to be saved from falls by those who can fly. One or two bullets put him down in Daredevil and it would take him a few minutes to revive. Fast forward 20 years later and he is taking 150 bullets from a machine gun and not go down. I find these stories uninteresting. How the Hand killed someone that Marvel established as unable to die in Enemy of the State I'll never know.

+1. Seriously, the Wolverine I grew up loving wasn't indestructible the way he is now. Since when does a super healing ability mean you can heal anything!?

Rob Liefeld Says Deadpool Movie Can Be PG-13

-----------------------------

With the release of the Deadpool movie test footage, the character's creator, Rob Liefeld, has taken to his Twitter to offer that it is possible to make the film PG-13.

It's been previously stated that what is hindering a Deadpool movie from getting made is that Fox doesn't want to move forward with an R-rated superhero movie.

I think Ryan Reynolds is (and would be) perfect for the role.

I just don't see Deadpool alone carrying a full movie. He's far far better as a supporting character.

CF The Hulk. It's hard to make a compelling 2+ hour stand alone Hulk movie, as both of the Marvel attempts have shown. He's far better as a guest star, a la The Avengers.

IMO the first Hulk movie was a dog because Ang Lee destroyed it.

The 2nd movie was actually reasonably good with Tim Roth, but especially Edward Norton, who did really well with the role of Banner.

You can make a good Hulk movie, IMO, it just needs lots of Banner, the right villain and some smart story telling.

I actually thought Edward Norton made a great Banner, the film was good in my opinion. Then again Hulk is my favorite character,so I may be biased.

Never been a superman fan and use to love Deadpool... The indestructible nature never bothered me because it's part of the fun to see him get obliterated... I wasn't enamoured with the footage but at least they got the costume right. Really spot on. Deadpool lost a lot of appeal when he became a literal clown. He was always insane and snarky, but now he's marvels insufficiently_thoughtful_person mascot... It is such a lost opportunity to develop a much richer (and insane) character. You have to wonder if motivation would be different if they had movie rights. Anyway, meh...

They have a richer insane, criminally underused character. Moon Knight.

Now THAT'S a character I would love to see on film. :headbang:

Would love to see this movie happen.

"I would say--'less anger more love. Fans saying how much they love Wade Wilson will win hearts and minds."
