Locke & Key is a great series.

Civil War was one of he first series I read when I got back into comics a few years ago and was vey impressed with how well planned it was. It'll make a great movie.

Ah... I understand. I am attempting to read the first volume of Essential Dr. Strange, and those Stan Lee written stories are really just not that good.

Maybe because they are only 8 pages long, but his scripts are terrible.

I am also having a tough time trying to figure out how many comics I have actually read, since Dr. Strange was the back-up feature. The first few stories were 5 pages, now they are 8, and later in the book they get all the way to 10 pages long.

I might just count it as one comic and call it a learning experience.

The Essential collection is the worst way to read Ditko's Dr Strange... it just doesn't work in black and white...color was such an important part of that series.

I admit, I keep thinking "this would be so much better in colour."

I agree, I have the first Masterworks and enjoyed it. I have a hard time reading many of the essentials though.

I read the Wolverine run "Enemy of the State" when it first came out and just got done reading it again and liked it as much the second time around. For those that have not read it before I recommend it! It's a fun, exciting read!

@rfoiii - Are you reading all these digitally on a tablet or something?? I'm curious because it looks like Marvel would have a decent library available.

Makes me want to think about looking into reading some comics digitally....even though I use to be against it and say I would never do it!

Read since last update--

GI Combat 85, 90-91, 106

X-men 1-3, 7,8,9,10

Panic 1

Vampirella 1

Book of Magic 1, 2

ASM 169-183

Total for the year -- 44

I've had the GI Combats forever, just never read them because I've always been more a superhero guy. They were decent but not spectacular. I never realized that "The Haunted Tank" is haunted by the ghost of a confederate general.

The X-men are from my Marvel Masterworks. I finished reading it, and then my almost four-year-old daughter got interested, so I re-read issues 1-3 to her.

The Panic was okay, but not great by EC standards. The Vampirella was neat to finally sit down and actually read. The Book of Magic issues weren't bad, but they are the only two I have.

I'm continuing to read through my ASM run. I have thru 365 or so, so I they will keep me busy for awhile.
