Bosco685 Posted January 1, 2020 Share Posted January 1, 2020 THE NEW MUTANTS Director Josh Boone Confirms That The Movie Being Released Will Be His Original Version Quote A new trailer for The New Mutants is finally coming on Monday and, much to the surprise of many fans, director Josh Boone is promoting it in a big way. It's a shock because there were claims Fox had essentially removed the filmmaker from the project in a Fantastic Four-style situation which saw Simon Kinberg take charge of reshoots and completely butcher Josh Trank's vision. Well, following a series of mixed reports about the studio forcing Boone to change his vision, ordering reshoots which would have added new characters, and Simon Kinberg potentially taking charge of reshaping the movie, we finally have some good news about plans for The New Mutants. Regardless of what may or may not have happened, Disney and Marvel Studios have handed back control of the movie to Boone as he's confirmed on Instagram that the version of The New Mutants coming to theaters in April is the one he originally planned.
