James,

I still remember picking this one up off the rack, pure nostalgia:

So, so good!

Here is mine:

I'm not a big fan of the INVISIBLES series, but this DPS from Quitely is fantastic. :whee:

(of course you sold my REAL FAVORITE page you owned (to me :cloud9: ))

MY CAF :hi:

Thanks for the compliment. That was one of those OCD meets opportunity moments to get that Quitely splash. It now is the center piece in the main hallway of my house

I guess I can put that page you got into my "sold but not forgotten" folder now

I'll take a turn...

1st Appearance of Zsasz! One of my favorites from the Gal Schwartz gallery. Who wouldn't want to own the first appearance of a Bats villain?

http://comicartfans.com/gallerypiece.asp?piece=871216

It's cool that you picked out my personal favorite out of my collection !

My "other" Zsasz page (his actual 1st appearance), where he is in a cage,

from which you can only see his mouth, was my very first original art

purchase (done over a decade ago...).

For years, I didn't even dare to dream there was the slightest chance that

I'd be able to also find and buy his "full" appearance (shown above).

Stars aligned and the page popped up online and found it's way to

my humble collection. Still as creepy as it was when it was first published.

Anyhow, I apologize for the interruption... back to the game...

So many great pieces in your collection: Mazzuchelli DareDevil, Sale Spider-Man Blue, Brown Giordano Batman, Starlin Dreadstar, Guice Secret Avenger, Spider-Man comic strips are all exceptional

But my personal favorite is 752ba8f6-2664-4f21-8618-e7c85d59c810_zpsnnphubfe.jpg

I'll play.

Ducky, I love that DPS you've got from Thanos Imperative. Loved Sepulveda's art on that series, even if it was a tad uneven story.

But there's a ton of great modern stuff in your gallery.

Hmmmm, after a lot of thinking I went with this page. I love Ron Frenz's run on Thor, especially during the "War of the Gods" saga. Lorelei's futile sacrifice is one of the better moments of it, too!

Unfortunately I no longer own that piece. I have tried unsuccessfully to reacquire it but the current owner loves it as much as I do. I should take it down but I just don't have the heart. :(

You should take it down, since you no longer own it. That is the rules of CAF. Or, at least, make it inactive so only you can see it. It isn't fair to the new owner for you to still show it.

As such, I altered my pick from your gallery as a result.

Thanks Joe, I appreciate your comments, the Sepulveda DPS is even better in person. I really like your Mack Daredevil, he did my Echo con sketch and watching him do it was really cool, his technique was something I didn't expect and equally fascinating to watch

Good call, and well done to the Silvery one for taking note and acting upon your advice. (thumbs u

I agree on Zsasz!

On to you gallery... Some amazing pieces in there. Lots to love, but I am totally drawn to and enamored with this one... Lovely.

Dig it, and the rest as well.

Thanks Eric! That piece, along with the 3 other Bastian commissions, belong to my wife. She loves his work (as do I) and I bought her those for the holidays a few years back. Her favorite is his Pandora's Box illustration but we'll have to settle for the print on that one I imagine  . We have the commissions hanging in our dining room. Seeing his work in person is pretty amazing and he is such a nice guy, very humble. I hope big things happen for him as he deserves it.

As a big DeCarlo fan myself - I really dig the Betty #12 cover. Unusually large figures for a DeCarlo cover and cool that it made the Art of Archie book.

Thanks, Jason. It was quite a treat to be asked to contribute to The Art Of Archie: The Covers hardcover book. And quite an honor, too. :)
