Ian ...

117 posts in this topic

I think when it's all done, DC should honor Ian by printing a SINGLE COPY of a special edition comic devoted to him, then present it to him, thus forever sealing the record that Ian truly has "every single DC comic."

OR give it to that Christine girl. makepoint.gif

Is it just me or is there something horribly out of place with this picture?

Like perhaps that book in the upper right? confused-smiley-013.gif

I was just thinking the same thing......That is that damn issue that was printed for that kids birthday and them most were lost in a flood??? confused-smiley-013.gif

That's the Superman-Bradman book. It's the rarest book in that picture. According to the story that Ian has told a few times, only 25 were made and most of those were destroyed.

Yes it is indeed.

If I now take a new pic if I ever complete the collection, I will also include the Twisted Metal comic too, as that's equally rare. They aren't Golden Age, but they're as rare as it gets. The pic was to show keys and rarity, not just Golden Age, which is why New Adventure 13 is in the pic.

Why don't you read the thread before you respond [#@$%!!!]. FFB already said that.

Because I started on Page One, and answered questions as I came to them, [#@$%!!!]-for-brains.

Hey Ian. How is the DC Promo's hunt going?

Any luck on Aquateers #1 yet?

Regards Earl.

Earl, I'm beginning to wonder if it even exists. I have yet to find anyone who's seen it. The Aquateers Meet The Super Friends, supposedly given away with snorkels and flippers.

Plus the Warlord/Remco mini-comic. Mike Voiles seems to be the only person in the world who has one.

Plus Supergear, apart from Al Stoltz's copy - no-one else seems to have one. Like the Bradman comic, most of these were destroyed.

Plus the Flash TV Brochure giveaway . No-one has ever seen it.

And worst of all are all those Looney Tunes/Tyson giveaway mini-comics. I have seven of the second set of ten, but NONE of the first set of eight.

And I'm missing twenty of the 94 Superman Tims.

And one of the four Comic Cavalcade giveaways (Overstreet only list three)

And one of the two Worlds Finest giveaways.

And the impossible Scooby Doo mini-comic "Werewolf Are You"

And the second 1944 Superman Christmas Adventure

And four of the six Navy Editions.

And finally that wretched Batman/Rain-Blo Gum customised comic, that your friend Craig's got.

SEE HOW TOUGH ALL THESE ARE - UNBELIEVABLE !!!!!!!!!!!

Which Superman-Tims do you need? Those seem to turn up every now and then.

I agree on the genral scarce nature of the Promo's when you are tracking them down. As you know I have been building a set of post 1970 DC promo's for over 5 years now and don't have any of those on you missing list. From those on you other 'rare' list I only have...

Batman Belt Up For Safety

BOTH Batman Onstars

Of course I would have had more if you and the other DC Completeists did not keep outbidding me foreheadslap.gif.

Mind you I notice we both got outbid on that recent Amethyst Price Variant auction!

The guy who beat us must have really wanted it.

Regards Earl.
