ComicLink Auction: Thoughts?

Haven't seen much commentary on the current auction. I've consigned one lot but have my eye on a few - I thought this was a pretty deep auction with some stunning pieces. That Ditko Spidey 25 page is a beauty, as is the Frazetta work.

I've narrowed it down, and am looking at 8 pieces. I'm a little conflicted though on if I should use my funds on this auction, or use them at the artcon in a few weeks.

I'd love to grab that Kane Cap v Red Skull page. That would look great on my wall.

My Fireside Amazing Spider-Man cover painting by Bob Larkin is on the block. Beautiful Bronze Age Spidey image ... Fireside covers rarely pop up anywhere ....

Seems like a pretty quick turnover since it sold on HA in August last year.

Yes, I agree with your statement. Clink always has nice variety and their offerings continue to increase.

 

This auction has several great Perez pieces I'm watching, some nice Wrightson and Romita Sr & Jr stuff, Jurgens Superman splash and a nice Tony Moore Walking Dead page.

 

Lots of other great pieces, too so I don't understand why there's hardly a peep on the message boards for this auction.

I've always liked that Silvestri Mr. Sinister splash from UXM 239. I remember coming up short when it sold on EBay 10 years ago. kicking myself now.

Yeah, nice stuff. My only regret is that my consignment is in the "S", so I won't know ho much house money I have to bid with until that one is over. Most of the stuff I like is before "S"!
