We visited Cliff at his studio a couple of weeks ago (release day for PAPER GIRLS #1!) and shot this video that I hope you'll enjoy:

Or maybe Midtown just increased their original order by 2K because they knew about the signing. Those copies might not even exist in another reality where BKV wouldn't sign for them. In that reality, the overall run on the book is 2K lower.
