Not a dumb question.  Yes that is why most of the census is green label.  There are several books like this that were only produced this way and CGC almost always puts them with green labels . Superman Wedding RRP would be another example the 250 of those were all signed and numbered when they were produced.  20190819_233241.thumb.jpg.99d487a8b68f072dae047c508b687ca4.jpg20190819_233255.thumb.jpg.92eaa8dbccbe6c4b628b2d4c3592a417.jpg

however just like the above book there are times where one just gets the blue label...

Got it, very interesting, thanks! I suppose that makes sense within CGC's rules.

Surprised to find this in the dollar bin. It was raw but NM.  Also found ASM 641 for 4 dollars in the back issues. Thanks @littledoom

I’ve only found Stormwatch 4 once for 50cents.. I sold it for $30 but now I see it can go for 3x more.. it’s definitely  a hold book considering it maybe 3-5 years when you find another in the bins..

This book is very hard to find.  It's been hard to find for a long time too, definitely not a result of COVID money.  If Midnighter ever sees the obligation screen, this book will be smoking hot.

People always think of green label as "GLOD - Green Label Of Death", but I always thought of it as "Green Label of Doubt".

When it comes to the signatures on a green label book, you have to ask yourself if you doubt the signature.

When I don't doubt the signature (such as these books manufactured this way), I happily pay the green label discounted price for what would be a yellow label if CGC had existed at the time.

I definitely could not agree more. The wedding album rrp and Jerry Siegel signed DF books are ones I have picked up a few at the GLOD prices that I was very happy to pay.

That makes two of us. We should probably shut up so we don't get competition.

Finally found another Solar 10 first print in the wild. 1 dollar box at a used bookstore.  I then proceeded to grab a big batch valiant books along with it.  Most of these books are NM.

@valiantman how did I do? Sadly no  Harbingers 20210911_203911.thumb.jpg.85ac2007b009b680d1d1b17f368438bc.jpg

The last comic convention I went to was ten years ago. Attended one today in my city that was only 10 minutes from my house and these were part of my score. A few of them are not high grade but I'm happy to have them as under-copies for now.  This was my first Maxx #35 I have ever found in the wild for $1.

It was a card and comics convention. Fortunately, they had a showroom exclusively for the cards and one across the hall for the comics.

The (unnumbered) #1 (Wizard World giveaway) is by far the harder of these two books (this was a GamePro magazine giveaway), but neither are exactly frequently encountered. And wow, the eBay asking prices...

Actually any of them are really rare. I only seen copies of 1 and 2 of Sly Cooper and thats like 2 copies of each
in over 15 years of looking. There is also an Animation magazine that is really hard to find as well.
Never seen the Wizard world or Animation magazine yet.
