Been looking for a nice copy of this issue for quite some time. Maybe the toughest issue in the later part of the run with a single 8.0 as highest graded.

My first Planet upgrade of 2023.  Issue 8 was one of the first rivet issues I acquired when I first started collecting Planets in 2018, and I’ve always loved this cover.

Mine are 18 and 65 

(but 17 is right there too, and I love 35, 66, 70 and 71 too)

Now, that I think of it 2, 8, 41 and 56 are no slouches. OK, I have 73 faves but these are my favorite of the best 73 Planet covers

Good answer. As a reward, I will not post my 18 or my 65 yet again. But they are two of my faves as well.

Great choices. 

Long shot, but does anyone have a Planet Comics 14 for sale, or know of one for sale? Trying to help someone out who only needs that issue to complete their run.

This one took me a while to find.  Tough Locker reprint.  This is the only one I've seen for sale. Found it here on the boards.

Picked these up a little while back, O Gury 2 and 5 Brazilian.  Sadly both from bound volumes.  But appear to be Planet 2 and 3 translated and in color.  And colors are pretty nice on them.  I think they are pretty cool.

The Nic Cage Heritage Auction was the first I ever bid in. Delighted to win the #28. Sold it years later and of course regretted it when I started collecting Planets in earnest. Then it popped up in a Comiclink Auction and I won it back - so I cherish it all the more. [Way nicer than the given grade, on account of a tiny missing corner.]

 

Still don't think it gets the love it deserves - for me, it is the quintessential 'pulp sci fi' cover in the run...

This is my very favorite Doolin cover.  It’s excellent. His use of shadows in incredible.
