The 9 is a 5.5 with an asking price of $5k

The last couple of 7.0 copies to sell both had LT/OW pages. The 2 copies I’ve owned were both CR/OW. Definitely doesn’t seem to come up often OW or better.

Some great books just sold on CLink tonight, nice rivet issues among them.

#3 Billy Wright 8.5  $11,250  Beautiful book.  Doubled from the 2018 sale.  

#4 9.0 $10,360  Can't stop staring at the electric colors on this one!  

#15 5.0 $8,900  Seemed soft but maybe not the best color.

#16 7.0 $1,600  Thought this was a great buy, almost threw a bid at it, it looks so nice. Not sure why this issue gets so little love.

A few other notables: 

#36 8.5 $4,544  Tripled in price the last few minutes, wonderful eye appeal and color.  Matched the Promise copy pricing, this one is way better.  Really better than even the Church copy.

#58 9.0 $3,686  Nice colors on this one.  I'd rather have this than the 9.6 Promise that went for $10K more than this.

Hope some of you got lucky tonight!

I was also looking at that #16 which was a super bargain until late in the auction.  An 8.5 went for $3800 in the March CL auction!

As a consolation prize, I did win this nice book

That 16 was a steal at $1,600 in my opinion.

Agree that issue 15 went quite cheap for a 5.0, the colors likely contributed, as you said.  Still a great copy with nice PQ!  A 2.5 sold for over $7k a couple of months ago.

Agree the 15 was lower than i expected it to fetch, that said the final hammer isnt exactly cheap. As you say likely it is colors, but it is still a Planet 15 with decent page quality.

#16 seems "common" compared to issues around it (14,15,17) which likely explains the lower cost of the book.

Nice score. That one has sure been on fire of late. I had no idea until recently. Still way cheaper than most Planet comics I’ll bet.

Yep! Sure miss those days but all relative. Probably felt it was pricy then. I remember a SDCC in the late ‘80’s passing on a very nice solid copy of Pep #34 for $120. Seller was Marty Hay from AZ. Anybody remember him? I was gulping offering him $100. And he wouldn’t do it…
