I intend to take pictures and video. If they play one Creed song I'm leaving though.

Alter Bridge would be a suitably safe replacement there.

Oh my god...yes... another pretentious bunch of twits.

Myles Kennedy is beyond reproach! :sumo:

And Tremonti is an awesome guitarist. :cloud9:

I concur.

I laugh at both of you.

Roy, can we get a tentative set list? This thread needs some legs.

It's going to be diverse. :D

All guitar oriented rock, some heavy, some a bit less heavy. Like I said earlier, we'll try to do something from every decade from the 1960's to this decade.

Any band I go see I want to be surprised by the experience. Knowing what to expect takes away from the entertainment experience IMO. Just show up!

Hopefully it's a good surprise. I'm still trying to decide on wardrobe. Maybe a wardrobe change between songs? That should give this thread legs.

:shy:

Set list:

YYZ - Rush

Eruption - VH

Frankenstein - Edgar Winter

Surfing with the Alien - Joe Satriani

Interstellar Overdrive -Pink Floyd

Moby - Led Zepplin

The Call of Ktulu - Metallica

Sadly Neil Peart stands alone.

That's a very doable set list. I'll suggest it!

Tremonti concert solo is like EVH without any creativity or soul. I just don't get this band. Slick, studio sound, Creed like posturing, poor-tortured-me lyrics... Ugh... Not my thing at all.

You mean it's like a classical violin virtuoso? :baiting: I agree.

I don't know if I'd say it isn't creative. Soulful I can see, especially if you're not hearing the blues, but well crafted, technical music can still move people.

The Baroque period (what some might call 'without soul' because it was extremely technical in nature) was very different from the Romantic era (which was all soul) but both have their merits.

It's just different IMO. (shrug)

Now back to choosing stage costumes!

I can handle GnR. Any 'Imagine Dragons' and I'm throwing recalled CGC slabs at you guys.

Don't worry. I'm quite confident that you will like every song in the set.
