Yes, this would definitely seem to be the case here with virtually all of the so-called hot but readily available BA and CA keys that shot to the moon during the past couple of years, as they have now kind of fizzled right out.  :Rocket:

The only comic book time period that seems to be staying up there, if not continuing their acceleration are the GA books, especially the HTF ones or classic covers where condition is not the overdriving criteria as they are up significantly in all grades across the entire condition spectrum.  :applause:

While key, high-grade books go for record prices, I was astonished to win a Savage Tales 4 in CGC 9.6 OW-WP with arguably the best Neal magazine cover for $83.00. With CGC charging $42.00 to slab and the lead time, I feel I made a good purchase. It is a common book, granted, but auctions and market pressures are challenging to understand at times. I still want a better copy but this will fill the void nicely until a 9.8 comes along.

Have you NOT read his listing description for this book here...............after all, even the cover states that it's a "Novel Length Tale of Terror" featuring the one and only Blade the Vampire Slayer.  What more can you ask for considering that he clearly states it is a "Very Rare Magazine" even though the CGC Census Population Report indicates a whopping total of 102 copies graded and slabbed to date and still counting?  :facepalm:

Most definitely an outright steal for any buyer in today's hyper red hot marketplace for a mere $3,500.  Especially considering that if he was the original purchaser of the book, he would have had to paid a whopping $152 for it back in the dead cold frigid days of 2017 when Jon sold off his collection:  :devil:

No detective work required at all as it is a Jon Berk copy and all of them were originally sold through CC back in the summer of 2017.  :gossip:

So, similar to the HA archives, all you have to do is go into the CC archives to find all of their previous auction results and non-auction sales.  (thumbsu

I think mags are still getting (slowly) more and more attention.  Some of that is leading to some wild outliers.  But this book has been sustaining respectable prices more and more lately.  I missed this sale when it happened but glad to see it, one of the most iconic Frazetta covers.
