Pete has a strong eBay following. Overall accurate grading, fast shipping and well packed. Consistency far better than typical on the bay. He’s a second generation comic seller, took over his father’s business when he retired. Pete is a good guy. He gets amazing price results on raw books, that’s for sure.

Creepy #11 is undervalued, if you have one in hand, the colors are striking. (scans don't do it justice)

One of my favorite covers (yeah, it's a long list)

Also the first book I had Frazetta sign..:cloud9: Still think it's a 9.8, and is just as nice as the 9.8.

While these were both new records, the result on 93 was particularly shocking

Those prices are both very strong.  I suppose the delta is due to the census- (3) 9.8s of Vampi 93 and (7) 9.8s of Vampi 97.  Which is pretty nutty given those mags are only 40 years old.  More evidence of their relative scarcity in UHG condition.

It seems impossible that this is a legitimately graded Vampirella 1.  Buyer beware.

If it is, CGC should sue themselves for besmirching their own reputation.

Seems like that Dream Store has a lot of weird listings, like CGC 1.8 Vampis for $80 and such.

It got label swapped with the #7 that the seller also has listed for sale.

Yeah, I'd take $99 for an 8.5 Vampi #7 if it meant I could sell a 3.5 Vampi #1 for $2,995.

Good trade.

Probly just coincidental that a "7" looks so much like a "1".

Bet he can build a killer ship in a bottle.

Seriously though, it's fraud and should be reported.

The seller is a charity. I'm guessing the swapped labels is a CGC -up as the books were graded at the same time.

@CGC Mike

Quality control working great!

This is an example of "Buy the book and not the label"

They should have said something and sent them back to CGC, maybe too late now.

I have sent books back that had an error on the label, and they fixed it for free, not counting shipping it back. (that's on your dime)

It may have started out as CGC's fault for switching the labels, but when they're listing the book as a CGC 8.5 Vampi #1, even though the label clearly says Vampi #7, they have become complicit in sweeping the error under the rug for profit--and it seems like that would be fraudulent; whether or not they are a "charity."

Like I said, I'd be glad to eat whatever loss I took on an 8.5 Vampi #7 if I could sell a 3.5 Vampi #1 as an 8.5.
