Never realized how difficult is was to locate a nicer copy of this issue, until I tried to do so. At 7.0, believe it or not, the highest grade on the census, so far. Wonder if there is a Promise copy (dated 1950)??

Just in today. Love the cover and it was soooo cheap. Just a quick thumb through shows it’s a bit more “lurid” than most ACGs. Got a cool ad for Forbidden World’s #1 as well. And for good measure it’s a fat 52 pages...

The first issue of that title I ever bought. For a dollar. In the prehistoric age, books like this were unbagged in boxes under show tables for a buck apiece in generally, pretty nice shape. ECs were king of the heap on top of the table at $5-10. Each. But the other stuff sat unwanted and undiscovered for a long time. 

I would buy one or two ECs then hit the boxes looking for most lurid and gory ones. This, Weird Mysteries and Dark Mysteries were the first runs I completed. It was hard to know back then because there was no Overstreet guide to how many issues comprised the run. I just kept buying ones I didn’t have until I saw no more.

Love that one. Always thought underrated. Mine isn't high grade but at least I got to meet Woody...

Mail call yesterday. Love the creepy cover on this one. The early issues of this title have such great, moody covers. Usually, the contents are a bit lacking, but this one is actually pretty good. Glad to cross it off the list.
