There's a good deal of suspicion that #8 is the first cover work by Ditko -- note the faces in the mirror.

Definitely - I'm pretty sure a collector friend picked up a VG copy on ebay for $40 or so.

Nope. My records indicate that I purchased THING #2 many years ago (93-95) from Motor City Comics.

Anywho...I don't know if this has been posted previously but I thought it was interesting since it is early Joe Kubert... He has advanced quite a bit since this book and the lead story is hardly recognizable as his style is now...

Hey Jayman, thats a TALLLL order. Ditko's first cover, expensive & hard to find. I was so Happy to find a copy in fair for $50. Those 3 Ditko's are the NICEST I have ever seen! Congrats!!!!

Just because it's on my "want list" doesn't mean I'll get a copy but I can look now can't I?

 

Besides, maybe if I offer Adamstrange small rectangular sheets of green paper with the images of dead white men he will let that one go!
