Pencils distributor marks are common in this pedigree so no worries on that end.  Whether the rest of marking is consistent with the pedigree I'm less able to assist.

I've never seen a NH with grease pencil.  Always pencil.

Bought a couple Wings pulps this weekend and thought one looked familiar.

I am sending in quite a few FHs on my next submission.  This is like getting two books in one.  The inside BC is the cover of Jungle 77.  You can see part of it on the inside FC.  I have two other copies of Fight 44 - thought this one was interesting and not sure how CGC will grade - it is obviously manufacturing but hope they will notate it on the label just as an oddity.

Congrats Dan!! That is an important part of FH history and a book that is still fairly reasonable IMO.

Even with prices going as bonkers as they have on so many issues and titles, I feel like a lot of the FH titles (Jungle, Jumbo, Wings, etc) haven't been a big part of the run-up.  Which is why I'm scooping up as many as I can before they get out of my budget.

Great book!

Fine's cover is simply awesome, and undoubtedly succeeded in prying 10 cents from many a kid's pocket.

In contrast, here is the first splash page of the first issue of Jungle Comics, a bit of an artistic letdown compared to the cover (apologies to all those Alex Boon/Alex Blum fans out there).

Last year Rick had the Lost Valley Pedigree of this book for sale and I regretted not picking it up. The Lost Valley and this one are the only Jungle Comics 71 I have seen with this bold coloring. I think this copy is a little more red than the LV, but I might be biased
