50YrsCollctngCmcs
Anyone comment on the need for something like this con in San Diego prior to the main event? Seems like it would draw a big crowd.
Popular Post Robot Man
Next up was Teddy from Superworld. His love for this hobby is infectious. He had a nice new collection that was a little picked by the time I got there but I had no trouble peeling off some Hundos him. Check him out in SD because he held back some nice stuff out of the collection for you guys. Robot Man
Annother pleasant surprise was Mr Ritter from Worldwide. He wasn’t on the original list either. Got a few cool ones from him including a very nice surprise Frankenstein for my collection. Popular Post Robot Man
Our host for this cool event, John from Torpedo. Nice to know that someone is listening to us. He couldn’t have been making much money on this show. Table rates and admission were dirt cheap. He assured me that this con will be back next year and bigger. Maybe two days? Thanks John we had a blast! HENRYSPENCER, Hutch88, Badger and 2 others
Robot Man
I’m not an art collector but hit this side before I left. Tons of jaw dropping art. Maybe the most art dealers I’ve ever seen in one place at one time. Even picked up a few comics in there. Some real nice EC art... Popular Post Robot Man
My meager haul in no particular order. Just a fast shot. Sadly no Dynamic 8, no Ace, MLJ, Speeds or a lot of my other targets. I brought the dough but they were no where to be found. Also scarce were Baker books. This stuff is all going to auctions or being locked up in collections I guess... Sqeggs, F For Fake, badback83 and 5 others
Popular Post Robot Man
My reflections... Lots iof eager buyers that no longer go to SDCC. I literally heard it everywhere and the dealers know it. Expect to see a lot of big dealers quit SDCC in the next couple of years. The guys that brought the right stuff at fair prices all did real well and have said they will be back here next year. John had to turn away a lot of dealers for lack of space. There are always a few whiners but they were in the minority. I easily did as well here that I would have done at any other big show. Never enough money... This is the future of comic book cons. Embrace it! STORMSHADOW_80, alexgross.com, CrocHntr and 2 others 4

I’m trying to turn him to the dark side and keep a few. He really appreciates the books as well as just selling them. Younger guys like Pablo are the future of this hobby and it is in great hands. HENRYSPENCER
Awesome report. It looks like it was a great show. Did the hotel have any additional ballrooms that could have been used if they wanted to expand? If they move it to a 2 or 3-day show, I will fly out there next year. I like conventions at hotels because it's easier to get around. Nice selections of early Actions and Wonder Woman's.
