Look at the value of that pulp and Science Comics 2 i can't figure why they go so cheap

I wouldn't say Science #2 is exactly a cheap book. Now this pulp sure is. As are most pulps. If CGC slabbed them the prices would sky rocket. People either buy them for the stories or people like me collect them for the covers. As a rule, they are WAY harder to turn up than comics.

Julie Schwartz named the Silver Age Atom in honor of Ray Palmer.  Ray was a sci-fi writer in the 30s and then a long time editor for Amazing Stories.

Quote

Palmer was hit by a truck at age seven and suffered a broken back." An unsuccessful operation on Palmer's spine stunted his growth (he stood about four feet tall), and left him with a hunchback.

Went over to a friends place today and did some "horse trading" Among other things, I went away with a couple more of these.

I really like the Robin, Robot Man, Tomahawk, Capt Compass and Dr 13 run. Pretty much the whole issue is a great read. I have slowly picked up this run mostly as I ran into them mainly in reading grade. I don't really go out of my way for them because they turn up frequently usually very affordable. I think I'm complete from #90 on and have many of the earlier ones back to #67 (3rd Robin issue). Here are some of my favorites cover wise...
