When I saw her eyes my heart went pitter pat. Such a beautiful job by Heshka and that was a nice touch with the blue eyes too. CL #25 was a strong #1 on my list. sacentaur

Great point. Baker has risen in prominence tremendously due to his outstanding St. John romance work but it also seems like there is a new found appreciation for his good girl art work in Seven Seas as reflected in the poll. Of course, Baker did great crime and western cover work as well as the occasional horror cover. Curious if folks will start turning a bit more to collecting his great interior work for Fiction House and what I suspect are a few Baker covers in that run. tabcom
Now that the poll is posted. I think it may be a good idea to rename the thread and open up the flood gates. ALL-BAKER COMICS Ricksneatstuff

N e r V
I always thought it looked more like one of his Jane Russell swipes. Ricksneatstuff, tabcom and Get Marwood & I

29dukedog
Nice run of Amazing Ghost Stories, tabcom. But it needs to be preceded by something... tabcom and szucchini
29dukedog
Some great Wild Boy covers, too, even though only one of them by Baker has a female on the cover. tabcom
29dukedog
I've never been a big fan of westerns, but I have made a few exceptions... tabcom

29dukedog
Baker did quite a few romance stories for Atlas. Those not inked by Colletta are every bit as good as his best work for St. John. From Love Romances #
29dukedog
Towards the end of his career he also did many illustrations for various men's magazines. This is one from Nugget #1... (Anyone else wanna jump in here too?)

N e r V
Probably not on anyone's list but I've got a few of these under my belt now. I really like this cover. The work on the female overrides any other shortcomings it might have. tabcom
