The upstart Frank Miller, of course. Just a pi$$ poor effort on that cover. Lacks any of the subtle beauty that the Sin City stuff does.

 

He may have actually put more effort into the writing than on this piece. And that's a really scary thought.

Actually I remember that cover on the stands. It really stood out and while a tad frugal was a kinda cool con cept - kinda like comics version on the White Album.

i really like those covers, specially the second one...even at the "begining" of his career, Keith could would draw some great stuff...

The modern covers win it for me. They're not only unbelievably ugly, but have an inbred quality - like they're showing characters and visual motifs that have been drawn so often before that the only way left to be original is to make them literally disgusting to look at.

Yeah, the weirdness grows on you...the color tones and layout of the page just doesn't do it for me.. (the couple in the background even looks like they agree too)
