Nice LCS pickup! There are no stores in my area that ever have any SA or especially GA books...

This shop has a healthly selection. Mostly SA, but he has a few overpriced consignment PCH.

Resurrected from page 6? Where's everyone posting? I was looking through a box of hunting magazines at an estate sale yesterday and managed to find this little oddity from the Atlas catalog. It has a handful of one panel comics, a bunch of articles and stories, but I really like the dynamic painted cover.

Here's one of my most recent Atlas additions, finally! Such a nicely conceived cover -

Everett was so fine tuned at that point in his career.  Its like he was flexing to show the other artists what he could do.  Yes, the conception of the cover is great, but look at the technical execution!

I have been wondering.  This cover, I believe, is credited to Everett but the woman’s face looks like it’s drawn by someone else to me.  Any thoughts?  Maybe a heavy handed inker?

Everett's Atlas is almost always him soloing on pencils and inks.  The girl's face is most likely Everett.  For example, the nose is drawn the same as the girl in the background.

It's always possible that some little touch up was done at Stan Lee's assistance but nothing looks out of the ordinary to me.

A nice new addition to the Everett collection.

Funny, I was going to reference this issue in my last post.  Look at the detail in the background.  Just a great example of an artist at his peak.

The point of the cover involves only the 3 figures in the foreground but he still spent time to draw dozens of individuals climbing the nets, swimming and rowing the lifeboats.  The b&w original art on this would be insanely cool.

Here's another recent buy - not in the best of shape but in 15 years, I've never had the chance to pick it up so this will fill a hole for now. It's always been in my want list. Would love to see a higher grade copy
