Stupid gunner--you'd think he'd heard of Superman after nearly two years. doh!;)

Hey, here's a Superman question that maybe you can answer.... What's up with his suit? I mean, somebody's shooting a freaking machine gun at him -- doesn't the fabric fray?

It's Kryptonian, made from the swaddling cloth placed around him in the rocket that carried him to earth.

Nice to come home from work and find a single-digit Supes waiting for me... :cloud9:

I wish the toning on the top and right edges of the front cover wasn't there, but look at that spine!

We've traded a few emails. I've been trying to get better scans, but he doesn't seem motivated to make that happen. I laughed when I saw your post, as I just emailed him about 20 minutes ago to ask if there's any rust at the staples or pieces missing. If the answer is no to both questions, then I'll make him an offer.

Great pick-up! :applause: (Cookeville copy? (shrug) )

Thanks! Looking at my Cookville copies, I would say no. The initials are not the same. Jeff said the same thing.

Here's a newly updated group photo of my Supermans. Somewhere along the way in my GA collecting, early Supermans

became my thing. I just adore how raw, primitive and colorful they are... you can really see Jerry and Joe's creation evolving

by leaps and bounds in each issue, as they start to figure out what they can do with this new hero they've got.

(In fairness, quite a few of these have significant flaws not visible in the photos, but... Mylars tell no tales. :gossip: I love

'em anyway. :) )
