That the C-Link one I assume?

Naw it’s on eBay. Last I checked it’s at $2034. My eBay user ID is cowdog95. I am truly in awe that someone would pay that much for that book! I just can’t believe it! 😂

There must be a ton of 9.8’s out there. Prepare for the coming flood!!!

Oh I saw pic of $1,700 and figured it was the one I just paid for from C-Link’s auction 😂

I figured since I missed the boat on #1s....
(personally not a fan of Newsstand Edition’s big UPC barcode, so it was either the Canadian version or this...I had to go with 🇺🇸)
....and since I was able to purchase #2 & #3 9.8s as a pair for a great price with shipping, the price for #1 worked for me at the rate these are going.

🤘 with your sale btw🤘

I think money will trickle down to 9.6 now as that 9.8 price won’t continue to attract buyers imo. It’s way too much for a book that’s not that scarce tbh. They are rotting in bins out there guaranteed . What do I know ? That’s serious coin right there .

I’ll trade both my 9.6 Canadians for 1 cgc 9.8 Canadian . Hit me up.

They were $700ish this summer, year before $200ish? now look lol It is indeed ludicrous.
There are tons of them in bins many 9.8, 💯% I’m just taking a breather, getting tired of the subbing game with TMNT and CGC. I’ve paid my dues past decade doing it for my set

The difference in time between when this book released thru to today is larger than when it released to when Marvel was publishing their popular first appearances in the silver age.
It’s a more affordable tmnt #1 than the original and for a lot of millennials the pizza scarfin turtles are what they grew up with.

That said it’s blowing my mind too lol

Raphael in 9.8 has dipped a little over Jan/Feb from the highs of December. I think it has more to do with growing too fast than a loss of interest in the book. I see there are a few 9.8's on Ebay with varying BIN and Best offer.

Any predictions where this book is going to go?

Hello!  First time poster on here.  I inherited my Dad's collection and am reselling most of it with Comic Connect.  My Dad used to go to comic book conventions and shows and was friends with Eastman and Laird in the 80's.  He used to see them at the shows and they'd always chat at each other's tables.  Dad had all signed first print comics from them, #1-10, many in multiples.  I grew up with these stories (I was born in 84), but hadn't gone through his comics with him in 30 years+.  Growing up and loving TMNT, It was so cool to go through his collection and see everything he had.  And I'm just realizing that the value of these comics is a bit crazy.  The TMNT #1 CGC 8.5 is up to $14,600 now!  I can't believe how much these are worth.

I'm pretty new to all of this.  One quick question if anyone can assist.  What is the Variant Cover story with #3?  It says "Laird's Photo" in white on cover.  I can't see the difference between the regular and variant.  And it's hard to figure out what it's really worth.  Here's the action.  Any idea what this is worth as a CGC 9.4 variant cover #3?

Thanks!
