Locker Planets are pretty hard to come by. Only one slabbed copy of 2-5, none of number 1. This one is my favorite, because it is the only one recolored.

My Desire Intimate Confessions #4 (April 1950) was the original use of that cover, famously reprinted (with new dialogue) in the commonly seen True Life Secrets 23 (Nov.-Dec. 1954).  Super rare comic, but some do exist.

The one book I can think of that once met that description is Double Action #1.  After decades of speculation about whether it existed and what the cover looked like, the single existing copy finally surfaced a few years ago and now resides in the collection of Mark Zaid.

The book that is tough and rare, for one collector, seems to fall into the hands of another.  I've found books in the wild, that others have searched and searched for.  I'm sure it is much the same for many of us.  Beginners luck for me, maybe.

Did a Double Action 1 really appear? Or are you thinking of the Ashcan copy of Double Action Comics 1 that was listed in Overstreet that came back to market awhile back?

These are very hard to find. I have seen #6 for sale quite a few times but I don't think I have ever seen #7 or 8 show up for sale anywhere outside of the time I bought them 25 years ago.

This one was considered by Overstreet to be "One of the Scarcest 1950's D.C.'s" if I remember correctly. There was a time I rarely saw one offered, but the internet has changed much of that. It almost seems that I see # 2 the least nowadays... anyway, with the rep it once had, I had to get a copy from @ft88 when he listed one. They don't publish stuff like this anymore. This genre later became  the "James Bond" era . GOD BLESS...

Heck yes. I have seen #6 a couple of times but not #7 or #8 either. Heck, #3-11 are super tough. I've had my run probably a few years longer than you. I don't particularly remember any of them being super tough. But this is when books like this were only collected by a few people. I would hate to try now. And, thanks for mentioning them. I had fun pulling these out and going through them again!

Thanks @Robot Man wasn't even a copy when CC auctioned the rest of the digest  issues a few auctions ago.

@buttock not sure, maybe a storage issue over the years (sunlight exposure?). I lucked out as the seller had very little feedback and had the usual "I am not a comic grader/collector,  selling for a friend" in the listing.

Bad pics also ,so I had very little competition. Very happy to own it
