Heroes Con 2022 Jun 24-26 Charlotte NC 5 5

Another great year!  Filled a short box and then some. My only nitpick would be some vintage toys would have been nice. Did some cosplay on Sat and went to Larry Hama's panel on Sunday. 

Anyone know what happened on Friday? The preorder ticket line was insane. Usually heroes is more efficient than that. I picked up my tickets on Thursday but had some friends wait over a hour on Friday. 

Prices were already great and deals were being cut left and right on Sunday. 

Got a sketch cover from Dan Parent and some great Betty covers.

Finally getting around to posting some pics. First up are books from a few independent creators. The X-men #5 is lower grade, but presents beautifully. It came from Richard at Bedrock’s booth. Super nice guy. It was nice to put some faces with names. The Picture Parade is a book that I have been trying to land for years. Atomic age goodness! Added to my Lee Elias books with another one that I’ve wanted for quite some time. Lastly, some Ghost Rider numbers that I needed for my early run. They came from Harley Yee and Dale Roberts. Enjoy the pics!

Another great experience @ Heroes Convention this year (My first year at the con was 1990 .).  

I spent a large amount of my time at Arexcrooke's and DavidBurn's fantastic corner of goodies. 

Want to give a special shout out to Tim @Timmay who with a strong back helped me look through every box of Trades/Graphic novels from their single owner collection.

Just a heads up that I went to Heroes on Sunday only and wore a mask the whole time, but ending up testing positive for Covid yesterday. Not sure if I picked it up there or somewhere else. I barely have any symptoms - just a scratchy throat - but if you are feeling a little off, it might be worth using an at home tests if you have one.

Looking forward to next year as the convention lived up to its billing!

I tested positive today. Felt like death yesterday. Slept probably 18 hours total.

Feel better today. Although Im sure that is the prednisone talking. 

Still am not close to 100%

I am sweating like a French woman of the night at mass however

You’re now the 6th person I’ve heard of That picked up Covid at Heroscon.
