Somebody needs to let this guy know it's not 2021 anymore. There's no apes or Russian bitcoiners buying $50 comics for $500,000.

Considering I sold this back in 2018 who knows how long this item has been listed lol.

I saw some one post this on Facebook asking about the same thing… and a few people said they have seen a few of them with that black line in the back…

I guess it's no stranger than Dave Sim naming his company Aadvark so he got the first listing in distributors' listings.

When Sim started, there were pretty much two comic companies so it wasn't as if being listed last was terrible.

I think his attitude represents exactly what's happening in the collector market.

I don't see anything weird here at all. When misprints and error prints are all the rage, commanding higher dollars, who are we to judge what he thinks could be the next best thing?

I fault the people that have fed into this obscure rarity fad in the first place.

Does anyone know about this? Seems like he’s the only guy invested in it lol. I sold this comic in a #1-4 set for $100 back in September 2018. Probably worth double that now. To me this is merely miswrap. And it’s not even a newsstand edition or double cover lol.

Sure, the price may be high but he is including free shipping to offset that.

Well there is starting a price high and then there is this

I can understand shooting for a 3 or 4x multiple tops of what a regular CGC 7.0 would fetch. This is ridiculous and should be ridiculed

Just checked a 7.0 only sells for $60-100 and there’s a couple newsstands listed for $100

I know, I agree that it's ridiculous. Lord knows I would be a hypocrite if I argued against ridiculing it.

I just don't think this seller's behaviour is weird when we seem to be at a peak of behaviour that cherishes the absurd.

I saw a comic listed, a New Mutants 98, CGC 9.8 SS, blah blah... and it had 5 covers stapled to it. They called it a holy grail and asked, well, not this person_too_unaware_of_social_graces pricing, but still, stupid pricing. 5 covers attached in my eyes is a hilarious representation of human error, and yet... here we are.
