1. Of course a Tec 27 or AF 15 is going to get slabbed even if it's a 1.0. But are you someone who slabs funny animal beaters, etc., and if so, why do you do it?
-
I slab everything because I like to have all of the comics in my personal collection in slabs.0
-
I slab low-grade books that I want to sell because they're easier to move and I can get enough extra money that slabbing pays for itself.2
-
I slab low-grade books when I have a CGC grading credit that is going to expire and I don't have any nice books to slab.2
-
I slab low-grade books when I am building a run for my registry set.3

I do not deliberately slab low-grade books, but sometimes books come back much lower than I thought that they would.5

Dude, I don't slab anything. Why would I want a comic book encased in a plastic tomb? Comics are born free, and they should stay that way!7

2. For those of you who slab low-grade books, do you have a minimum dollar value?
-
The raw value has to be $100 or more.4
-
The minimum raw value has to be at least $50 to $99.1
-
The raw value needs to be at least $25 to $49.1

I have no minimum! I will slab a brittle, coverless copy of Muppet Babies #10 from 1986.2

I don't slab low-grade books, so I shouldn't be answering this question, but my reading comprehension skills are poor.9
