As stated in my thread in Silver Age, this was also found among the 450ish books I found in storage unit in cardboard boxes, books all stacked up on top of each, unbagged. Thankfully I think this one was in the middle of one of the stacks.

I'd really like to send this to be pressed, (should it be cleaned?) and graded. Again, new to all of this and excited this fell into my lap, this seems to be the "diamond in the rough" if you will. thanks in advance.

I don't see much that can be cleaned, but C&P is typically a package deal & this needs pressed to remove the roll.  Pretty sharp looking front cover. Maybe not the prettiest around the spine/staples, but not much wear. The browning around the edges is going to hurt what could otherwise have been an ≥8.0 candidate. The darkening is enough to drop it into 6.5/7.0 range.

I'm in the 7.0-7.5 camp, since even though the tanning is severe, the book is otherwise so solid (maybe 9.0-9.2 after pressing without brown edges). I don't think they would go below 7.0. I'd be interested to see what grade it gets.

I also agree that press & clean is one price for both services with every company that I've researched in the past, including CCS of course. In other words, there is no "press only" option.

After a press, I think this is 7.5-ish. I've had decent luck with them not hitting browning too hard on an otherwise nice book.

Nice to see a fellow fan in the wild. Cheers. I have some optimism on this one because I have a Thor 168 with a lot of browning front and back cover that came back an 8.5. Good luck!

What a nice find, the front cover looks great, notwithstanding the spine roll. Agree with the others that you had a real chance at a 9.0ish if not for the (back) cover tanning. I have a graded 12cent FF book with similar tanning that was also structurally very nice, like this. It came back a 6.5. The difference is that my book had a white cover so the tanning in the front looked much worse. The back covers and pages are very similar. Having said that I would be very surprised if this graded less than a 7.0 assuming he spine roll gets pressed out. And I agree with many that 7.5 seems the likely grade with a chance at an 8.
