Popular Post alexgross.com
very sad news. sean was a very nice and cool guy. we did some deals and he also generously answered all of my questions about books and art that i was considering buying but knew little about. i saw this OA piece by andy macdonald somewhere and asked him about it because i loved it. he sold it to me right then and there for what he paid for it. really sad news. way way too young. Popular Post Jazzno
I’m sitting here so gutted … About 10 years ago I was sitting in the hospital with my nephew. He was going through some medical issues and I posted on the boards about it, just kind of a late night post to keep my mind busy and away from negative thoughts. Sean immediately was messaging me asking about my nephew’s favorites and asking for his address. Not only did he send along a couple sketches, but he reached out to a few other boardies to share his info to have some comics sent. The generosity of Sean (along with the entire board) was so impactful to our family. You could tell he loved the art of comics, but even more he loved connecting with people. Rest in peace Sean. oldmilwaukee6er
RIP Bird! Sincere condolences to the family. It's unfair that life moves on when it seems it should stop, as it does for them. He was a man with many opinions, and he and I had some great discussions about comics and life over the years both here and -- even better -- face-to-face. I spoke with his wife earlier today and she let me know that a service will take place soon, although they don't have the details yet. I suspect it will be near the shore in Jersey where he lived, and I'll post that information here when I get it. Along with his wife, he had two lovely daughters. Thank you for this information. Sean took a lot of time in 2021 giving me advice when I was dealing with burnout and other stress from working in a pharmacy and the general tilt in the lower rungs of the medical industry in general. We had planned to meet up as we was up by Rutgers' quite a bit and now I'm sad we never found the time. A really patient and generous guy with me. R.I.P. Robot Man
Wow, just saw this. Shocking. So sad and so young. Sean was a very cool dude. I bought some books from him after he sent me a PM that he knew I was looking for. Probably wasn’t worth his time but that was the kind of guy he was. Also a fellow Zappa fan. A rarity these days. We traded some obscure music back and forth. RIP bro. You obviously had a load of friends here… bc, F For Fake and Larryw7
F For Fake
What terrible news to find upon logging in after a holiday break. Like many of us, I didn't know him personally, but he was definitely one of the first boardies that I started paying attention to when I joined up, and I always enjoyed his sense of humor and eclectic taste. Sharp guy, this place will be less interesting without him. Condolences to his family. Cat, Azkaban and ADAMANTIUM

Popular Post RCheli
I briefly texted with his wife and I mentioned the outpouring of love from all of you. Obviously it can't replace this loss, but please know that it helped her to hear it. I'll follow up with the obituary/service info in a day or so. comicginger1789
So sad to hear this. Loved his contributions here and I know he conversed personally with me in the past (we may have even been secret Santa’s or something). A lovely person and a sad loss for our community.
