Superman#5 or Action 31. 1 1

With all things being equal on both books and you being a Superman collector, Which book is more preferable for you to purchase?

a. cover appeal is better,

b. I personally don't quite get it, but it seems to me the self titled series get more pump, be it Action vs. Sups, Tech vs. Bats or Sensation vs. WW.

I concur.  But I put my money into Action!

Look at those sweet colors on 31.  And Supes saving that guy from a Nazi firing squad?!!!  How is that not a better cover?  If you want Supes bending steel bars, maybe go for the first cover appearance of that.

Since I deslab and read everything, I'd go with the Action Comics because it's fun to read the backup stories that don't get reprinted.

I like Sup 5 better,  but generally prefer the Action title.

Prefer Superman #32 or 33 whichever one is 'It tickles' black cover.

Have both and love both, but there is just something special about the sub 20 Supes issues/covers, even more so the really early ones like #5

I know #5 is more valuable pound-for-pound than Action #31, but regardless I still pick Supes #5.
