D_rezz Posted January 13 Share Posted January 13 Hey everyone.... After over 25 years on the sidelines got back into comics last year. I know that ASM 300 has a common production issue with the jagged right edge. Did production issues ever show up as corner tears? Just picked up a copy that suffers from the jagged edge issue, but the back cover also has a top corner tear and what looks like a small printer tear in the outside edge. Other that those issues the book is in great shape. Has anyone see issues like these from production? Any idea how this would impact the grade? Images attached. Tha k's everyone! MAR1979 Posted January 14 Share Posted January 14 (edited) The missing pieces/chunk on the back look more than production related. The top back left for instance may have had a "hanger" than was torn off at some later point. I also notice the rear bottom right corner is blunted and there are ripples well into the book? In fact, is the whole bottom edge of the back cover wrinkled or wavy? Moisture exposure? As for the missing piece, people who believe what the Overstreet guides say might tell you 6.0 is as high as this book could go. But there is an interesting thread on here about the CGC guide going as high as 8.0 for missing pieces somewhere in this size range.
