The Action #1 was reviewed at the later date and bumped up in grade under the same serial number. This was true for the Superman #1 also.

Just an FYI, the certification number on the Mile High Superman #1 (#1072525001) can also not be found on the lookup, so it is probably not an isolated issue on the KC Action 1, but an issue with books that retained the same cert number on two different grades.

Yes, this was also noted by @MasterChief in his original post on the ASM 252 thread which raised questions of how and possibly why this "anomaly" could occur on two such high profile high dollar value books (i.e. the Kansas City copy of Action 1 and Church copy of Superman 1) and yet does not seem to occur with other books?  hm  (shrug)

I noticed that as well.  The team has been notified about both books.

Not sure if this has already been mentioned, but I'm seeing an awful lot of room for movement at the top there. And not straight, either. Can anyone else see that? What happens if that case gets turned upside down, or takes a knock? It looks quite snug in the inner sleeve horizontally, so the guts could easily move independently, vertically.

Or the whole book moves, and the right corner hits the inner well indentation before the rest of the top edge does.

Wouldn't you want it to be a little more snug than that?

Still, it's only a 7 figure book. Nothing to worry about, eh...

Who here has the nuts to put in a $3.6M bid? It'll get outbid for sure, but typing it in and hitting 'submit' would be kind of exciting.

You almost had me, but I was very good at these 'trick' questions from school.

Answer: 'Dr.B*lls' :kidaround:

I have been told that the cert lookup for Action #1 CGC 8.5 Kansas City has been fixed

Thanks Mike for the quick attention/rectifying on this!

Yes, on the KC Action 1. Not yet on the Mile High Superman 1.

Anyone care to guess why the cert # can't be found?

You are on the CGC card cert lookup, not the CGC comic lookup. "Trading card" in the second scan.

Has happened to me more than a few times...including today.

You guys suck at reading. :foryou:

Honestly, I don't even care as I couldn't be bothered to look up the grader's notes for a book I have no intention of buying, I was just amused by people complaining about a CGC technical problem on the CGC boards and it never occurred to them to just ask someone at CGC to look into it.

If it turns out that everyone was just entering the number in the wrong interface, then I am truly angry about the cumulative 10 minutes of my life that I've wasted.
