Do you mean Leann?

Yes, perhaps that is correct. A manager. She has been there as long as I've been coming to Houston to visit my mom - at least 8 years or so. So, yes, I believe it to be Leeann

She is now managing the north store on FM. 1960.

one day I drove to each of your stores. lots of driving. took all day. on one of the days I ended up lost, at a Native American reservation (?) cigarette outlet.  Spent some time talking in the parking lot with a guy that was nicotine-stained from head to toe.

while we are at it and having fun, here's another similar situation.  Same comic but some copies have the star, others dont.  Unless that star was some kids collection marker stamp, there must have been 2 printings.  Did this publisher license out the comic to someone else and they used a star to track them?  thoughts?

CGC is obviously corrupt by not notating this.

Yes, very healthy price far exceeding auction estimates

The catalogues by Ivan for these auctions are great, they provide GPA info, Gerber scarcity, prior prices, CGC census populations, notable aspects of the issue, and they liberally mine this site for information. And I'm not saying that just because I was quoted for one description (as were other posters on this site on other lots).

Thanks for sharing this. If you or anyone else find examples of additional issues with a star on the corner - please let me know. Even if your reading this thread 20 years in the future.

When people will still be arguing about it.

I wasn't aware people felt so passionate about Crackajack Comics. It was the first time I heard of stars being on them.

@Straw-Man I recall you put a whole Owl covers run together; any insights on the little upper right corner stars?

Just small stats in the corner?  I feel like I've seen several, but the stars are usually different, sometimes large, red, in a circle etc.  Also seen a number of pulps with stars.
