divad
Also, Batman 608RRP is the first appearance (and Part One ) of "Hush". -J. But, but it was released after Batman 608 . . . Not according to the cover date! (and it was never "released" it was handed out directly to retailers at a summit- hence the "RRP".) Facts. -J. Btw, that was a joke . . . and please "summit". Where was it, Camp David?

Jaydogrules
There's a slightly cheaper 9.8 on ebay now... http://www.ebay.com/itm/Batman-608-cgc-9-8-Retaiiler-Incentive-Edition-/141905559828?hash=item210a3b0114:g:vUQAAOSwe7BWw1ES -J. oldbsturgeon
I realize his feedback being at 91.7% is the result of one negative, though that still would not instill confidence if I was going to drop 3800 on this. He would probably get better movement on it if he lowered his starting bid.

bcphillips119
I'm not so sure that's a real sale... I've been watching that exact auction every time the seller puts it up. It may be, but I am definitely curious about it.
Lethal_Collector
Yea now I'm glad I didn't win the Bats 608 from that seller this morning, unless he really has like 4 copies Jerome Edited March 21, 2016 by Lethal_Collector
Jaydogrules
He has listed it a few times before reducing the opening bid every time. It has been the same book. He evidently found a couple players this time. -J.

Jaydogrules
$3000 for a green label 9.8 and $3450 for a yellow 9.8 both recently. Price is strong compared to a year and a half ago but seems about right now. -J.

Lethal_Collector
I know, I hope he doesn't think that was the case. I was the one who bid $3,333.33, because....3 is my favorite number? Jerome It would be ironic if it was your nuclear bid that pushed up his nuclear bid that caused him to think the sale was "fake". -J. The auction started at 2900 and finished less than 500 above that, there wasn't anything resembling a "nuclear bid"...like what we've seen in some of the other auctions. If a one or two people start throwing out bids that far exceed the current price in an auction, come up with whatever sort of colourful term you want to label it or call it a nuclear bid if you must ......but no one swung for the fences to win at all costs in this auction that I can see. Also with only two players interested above the reserve it's not like there was a broad and active market left in the dust by a couple of people bidding far above where others had interest.
