I got in another piece, a very detailed pencil pinup of KISS by Adam Warren

CAF Link

If anyone knows where this was used, please let me know. I've reached out to Randy Martin (Adam Warren's rep) to see if Warren remembers.

I just asked Adam on Twitter and he said: Old piece for a WIZARD insert booklet re: Kiss, presumably back when Kiss comics were appearing hither and yon in the 90s(?).

Sorry I haven't played much in this world. I spend most of my time on comicart-L and have met many of you through the years. Check out my CAF, and let's keep this thing going!

Welcome N00B.

Since you're a n00b you may not know this. A lot of that art you have posted on CAF is now worthless because of your ignorance and sharing it on CAF. I've spoken with my colleagues and they have said it would be all right if, for charities sake, I purchased some of those pages for, say, $25 a piece. Let me know quickly before they are devalued any further.

Thanks (thumbs u

Made a bunch of recent updates to my CAF:

Howdy,

I've not been too active in the hobby this year, yet somehow I still manage to stumble into new art here and there. I collect mostly vintage published comic art (late 60's to early 80's) and of particular interest to me are the first dozen or so comics I had as a kid, especially those that I had BEFORE I was actively collecting them. The ones you get in an xmas stocking or the grocery store or a garage sale seemingly at random.

I recently got this page from Thor #261, that I got for xmas 1977. The first Thor comic I"d ever seen. This makes 3 pages I've picked up. I also posted the note with a little cartoon drawing from Steve F, who I guess works at Disney, cuz it's their stationary.

Thor #261 Simonson/Dezuniga

Equally exciting to me, are the 2 pages I got from Marvel Team Up #25, Spidey and DD fighting the Unholy Three. I remember my friend at school had a beat up copy, and I think I got it in a trade, probably involving Hot Wheels. I"d had another page from this issue that I got from Randy Martin ages ago, so its nice to add a couple more. My personal "rule" is I don't make a separate gallery room in my CAF unless I have at least 3 pieces in it. So now the Thor and MTU 25 get their own dedicated room. Here's the 2 MTU pages:

1. Marvel Team Up #25 Jim Mooney

2. Marvel Team Up #25 Jim Mooney

I've also got these other random but cool pieces recently:

1. Jackson "Butch" Guice "Test Page" of Avengers- done Neal Adams Style, and maybe some BWS thrown in- awesome panel of the Super-Adaptoid. Would like to hear the story behind it, if it was a try-out page for Marvel, or what?

Butch Guice Neal Adams style Avengers Page

2. Savage Sword of Conan- the last issue of the mag, and it John Buscema inking himself, which was rare

SSOC #235, last issue

3. Early Bronze Haunted Tank page, Russ Heath pencils and inks

G.I. Combat #145 Haunted Tank

4. Early Bronze Dillin Worlds Finest page- Green Arrow

World's Finest #210

Some nice additions this week:

Guy_Gardner_4_p11.jpg

A page with Guy & Tora by Joe Staton and Terry Beatty from Guy Gardner #4. A small note in the left margin says "OO-EE SHE'S CUTE!". Can't say that I disagree... ;)

A package from Montevideo, Uruguay (a first for me) contained this:

Scar_of_the_Bat_p14.jpg Robin_annual_6_p45.jpg

Two pages by the in my opinion very underrated Eduardo Barreto. The first one is from the Elseworlds story Scar of the Bat, and the second one is from Robin Annual #6 from the year 1997 when DC had the theme "pulp heroes" for their annuals.

Click on the pictures to see them slightly larger and better scanned in my CAF gallery

Hey Folks,

I think of myself more of a Batman collector, but I seem to like many superman related stories, so I just uploaded a bunch of art from that.

1. Two pages related to the awesome Kurt Buseik & Stuart Immonen Superman:Secret Identity Miniseries:

1a. An interior page - http://cafurl.com?i=20323

1b. A pinup Immonen did while being interview at Wizard promoting the series - http://cafurl.com?i=20324

2. Two pages related to Alan Moore's Supreme:

2a. A great pinup used in Wizard by Chris Sprouse and Al Gordon - http://cafurl.com?i=20325

2b. A great commission by Jerry Ordway - http://cafurl.com?i=20326

3. Finally, not related to the theme but I uploaded it recently so I might as well mention it, a nice JR JR Spiderman Sketch - http://cafurl.com?i=20327

Thanks for looking!
