Cleaning out my photo closet and came across these pictures from 1996....which Gary Carter took for CBM. A looooooong time ago....

What more can a person say but that is just friggin unreal!

Do you still have all these treasures?

I just learned today that Smash Comics #1 is the first robot cover in comics.

 

Yes. And that robot is named.....Bozo!

I just learned today that Smash Comics #1 is the first robot cover in comics.

 

Yes. And that robot is named.....Bozo!

This is a postscript to the Smash set. Lady Luck picked up the numbering of Smash, but only lasted 5 issues. As far as I know, these are all new stories and not reprints from the Spirit Sections. But the real joy for me was discovering the Count DiChange solo stories.

This is a great set. And tough to complete. There was a guy who used to advertise in the CBG in 10-15 years ago who was buying every copy available. The supply dried up. Haven't heard from him in years. Anyway, congrats on some great books. Nice to see them all together.
