When I was in high school, my hometown had these giant paper recycling dumpsters. My friend and I would go diving in them to find stuff. We only found a few comic piles, but we did find lots of porn. acclaim.gif

From which Ron's career was born!

Another thing. Supposedly this old lady moved in with her uncle and lived with him. Are we suppose to believe she moved everything in her previous residence into the uncle's house? Usually old comic books are found in the attics or basements of old houses. Why the hell did this old lady bring a box of comic books with her when she moved?

You story has more holes in it than this guy:

Also, for future reference, if you're going to make up a 75 year old uncle and say he's sending you a box of comics, it'd be more believable to say he was sending the comics through the USPS. I doubt there are many near octogenarians who head to the UPS to send stuff out when they're more familiar with the USPS.

I have been accused of being naive, but my octagenarian father has shipped stuff UPS (as have some of my octaganerian in-laws).

Unfortunately, none of them kept the comics they had as a kid (my dad recalls reading Action 1 at the orphanage, and some of the early Detective comics). sorry.gif

Here's the story as i know it.

1. Old lady lives in house with my uncle.

2. Old lady dies

3. Old lady has some old books etc. that she left to them since she had no family.

4. Uncle called my dad, his brother, and wondered if he knew who could sell some of these old books

5. Dad calls me, i exchange phone calls with Uncle for past 8 months or so.

6. He finally sends books via UPS..why? I have no idea...probably cheaper for the weight like one poster said.

7. I'm now waiting for books.

Knowing UPS they'll either arrive at 6:59 pm or they'll say they tried to deliver and they'll retry tomorrow (actually had that happen, was waiting by the window the entire day for UPS, and they said they attempted delivery).

Not many. Most of the time we never hear from the poster again. Then again if it was true, some people would be chased off by 20 people calling them liars.

Yeah normally they only post once or twice and never show back up.

the scan above is not proof, however, it shows i'm expecting a package today, hard to give any more proof than that.
Do you have a flashing mail/envelope on your screen?
