Bob Montana covers are always cool. It's a gerber 8, but I've had a couple and seen several, but always in a lower grade. Nice copy.

Just won this on ebay for $342! It's one of the nicest Archie #4's I've seen - for some reason this book is pretty tough!

 

 

I think Saturday night at almost 1:00 A.M. EST is a bad time to end auctions, don't you?

That's a fair price for a great book. The tough things about these Archies from 1-10 is finding them in grades higher than vg. Then there's the fact that those single staples hardly ever stay intact. Nice book.

Well said Black Hand- Early Archies are tough. Which ones do you think are the toughest out of the top ten? I would think 1, 3 and 5....

My experience has been 2, 3 and 6 as the toughest, but 1, 4 and 5 aren't far behind...

I'm thinking 1,3,5 and 8, particularly in high grade.
